MMA Fever is a 1 Year Old Shitty Diapered Kid

I love those lyrics by Linkin Park in their song 'Bleed It Out'. It says a lot about anyone who gives everything they have which is also somewhat of an anthem for MMA Bloggers who grind out relevant up to the minute MMA material for their diverse blood thirsty readership.

At MMA Fever we have about 5 readers so we're on a roll from the 3 we had last year and we know it so look out!

Hmmm... how can I tie all this together so the 5 readers we do have don't think I'm a fucktard any more than normal?

Oh yeah, The lyrics are reflective of the spirit of this ugly yet simple site that will not die no matter how hard you or I try. MMA Fever turned 1 year old two days ago which is quite an accomplishment in the blogoshere and also an accomplishment in the MMA online world.

I've seen many sites pop up after we started, some with better looking writers (I wasn't including myself in that - ask your mom) and better looking templates with better domain names that don't end in blogspot.com but somehow, this 1 year old kid stayed alive in this crowded niche; even through the content drought of the summer of '07 that many of our 3 regular readers from last year endured and yet, still hung in there to receive more daily beatings from us.

The one thing that was constant here was that we weren't afraid to take the other side knowing full well that we would catch some heat for it. We're fighters after all. Maybe that's what kept the 3 readers that turned into 5 readers coming back for more. Regardless, we'll continue to feed this 1 year old shitty diapered kid as we Bleed It Out another year for you.
