Happy New Year!

Well, if your face looks anything like Fedor Emelianenko's after his Yarennoka! match against Hong Man Choi following your New Year's festivities then Season's Beatings to you from MMA Fever!

MMA Fever is coming up on its one year anniversary very soon so the look and feel of the site will remain the same for now as plans are in the works now to revamp this place to look more up to date instead of the 70's Porn look that I have been so fond of for quite some time.

Maybe a wood panel template with a shag carpet and bean bag chairs lit with classy lava lamps would do the trick... dunno... but look out for something new this year with MMA Fever as we break out of the Blogger training wheels and on to our own domain.

I haven't yet picked a fighter to bash for 2008 as 2007 solely belonged to Randy Couture and I absolutely loved it and the passionate viewer responses so expect that to come in spades. If you have any ideas, let me know as you know that I'll be willing to oblige.

The "Tool of the Day" has also been popular as well as what landed us on the map which is the fight videos so expect more of them as I scrape the bowels of the video world to give you more great MMA content.

I'm also gonna harass a few fighters to give me exclusive interviews or two along the way and also any controversial pics that I can get my dirty fingers on to whet the MMA palate in all of us.

I don't know, I've been tossing around the idea of a podcast (audio program) however, when I listen to Fighlinker and Bloodyelbow I'm not sure what I could offer that both don't already do an amazing job with today so maybe I will use it to prank call the fighters and Zuffa brass that wouldn't give me interviews when I ask for them. *devilish*

Fight predictions have become a fun filled passion of mine and that will become more consistent this year and hopefully, more accurate :) I am not a gambler at all 'cause I'm a cheap bastard so I'll keep it there for fun and use it as talking points for further posts to solidify and enhance my greatness on the MMA scene. (So my head will almost as big as Tito's).

Rants. People love and love to hate my rants. I love doing it so I'm gonna continue to tell that part of the world that I take issue with to go fuck themselves in very creative ways this year including one particular website that I don't link anything to... stay tuned for that - "I'm gonna pick a fight" - William Wallace, Braveheart :)

I have a few other tricks up my sleeve that I'll keep to myself for now so stay tuned for more MMA Fever fight talk that will be sure to entertain and/or stir you up into a frenzy that will keep you coming back for more beatings as you fake like you are doing work at work when your boss walks by like I do.
