Pride 33 Payouts

that looks like slave labour to me. Pride makes millions of dollars off of these guys and they barely pay out half a mill to the fighters. That is just wrong.
ReplyDeleteIt really is pathetic. If you look at PPV numbers and compare them to boxing or *wince* WWE, there's a huge pay discrepancy. De La Hoya is making $25 million in his fight against Mayweather. Granted, these numbers dont take endorsements into account, but its still ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteThis may be one of the many reasons why Pride enterprises is falling apart. They are loosing their fighters to competitors that offer a better paying!
ReplyDeleteGreat points anonymous one. Ufc does the same thing by underpaying in comparison to the intake of money the owners make however they certainly pay more money.
ReplyDeleteWhy not I say its a free market and although I do find it sad to see Pride declining, that's do to the ignorance of the owners. Its time for them to step up or sell the product.
The pride product is still better and the fighters are of better talent. Pride 33 blew away the event last hosted by ufc which was a joke.
Two quality products like UFC and Pride are better as they will enhance competition by challenging each other to put on a better show.
Anyway good points.
