UFC Recognizes MMA Bloggers

Maybe it was just me but I noticed something very special in last night's UFC Ultimate Fight Night event between Rashad Evans and Sean Salmon. What I noticed was the prominence of the little guy fighting hard to spread the word about MMA and sponsoring an up and comer like Sean Salmon for the world to see.

That little guy isn't so little in the MMA blog scene and they are UFCJunkie.com. As you can see from the picture to your left, UFC Junkie is prominently displayed on the front right panel of Sean Salmon's fight shorts on an internationally televised (it showed in Canada so it's international aight) event on a major U.S. network.

This sort of attention should not go unnoticed by the MMA community and MMA Fever officially tips its hat to UFC Junkie and to Sean Salmon for their hard work in preparation for the fight last night. Unfortunately, the fight did not go in Sean Salmon's favor however, he did impress the UFC fans in a hard fought first round that I had scored him as the winner (10-9).

What really makes this special is realizing that this wouldn't even be possible without the support of the fans who support UFC Junkie's site and also Sean Salmon and that kind of loyalty is to be commended.

Another picture caught my eye today which is similar to the promotion of the little guy blog that covers MMA, not unlike this little blog. It's a picture with the UFC President, Dana White pointing to the owner of UFCMania.com while he was in attendance at the Hard Rock Seminole in Florida for last night's fight.

These are huge wins for the little guy blogger and the little guy MMA fan who supports these great UFC blogs through their loyalty and participation and encouragement to carry on even though there isn't any money to be made in doing so... it's for the love of Ultimate Fighting and MMA as an emerging sport. This kind of passion simply doesn't exist in any other sport today which, makes the MMA sites and the MMA fans so special.

To UFCJunkie.com and UFCMania.com and also FightOpinion for recognizing MMA Fever by linking to us in your Friday News Flash today, MMA Fever and its fans formally thank you for adding value and staying true to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts... for the sake of the fans!
