Karo is a loose cannon... PERIOD.
I like Karo Parisyan in the octagon, outside of it, he's just a pompous dick with no class. Karo should spend more time learning how to finish a fight rather than spouting off bombastically like he's the kid to beat in the sandbox.
In my opinion, it was Karo who initiated the aggression and provoked a fight between them although, I can't help but crack up when I see Nate's bottom lip curl up when he's ready to pounce. What a tell that was probably the catalyst that put Karo in a frenzy.
Nate Diaz said it best at the end of the TUF 5 clip, "Fuck that guy".
Nate Diaz is squaring off against Manny Gamburyan (Karo's cousin) in the TUF 5 Finale live on Spike TV on June 23. My heart says Nick but my mind tells me that Manny will pull this one off by decision.

ReplyDeleteIm a big Diaz and Parisyan fan but damn this sucks. Karo is a dick! I wasn't surprise that Nate kept him in check though. Rich kid Karo thought he could bitch around a homie.
I think there was disagreement there between the level of Karo's and Nick's friendship. Karo was touching on him like they were old buddies and Nick obviously wasn't feelin it. I think Karo, demanding respect, overreacted to Nate's avoidance, though. And anyone who really knows Nate would know he doesn't like to be manhandled. Dana White picked up on that. He's an observant one, that Dana White.
ReplyDeleteI don't really like Nate's attitude. It's a bit childish at times, but he's young and he'll eventually grow out of it. Not so sure Karo will.
I don't think Manny will win over Nate's sick jitz. Did you see that last fight against Gray? Nate was like a boa constrictor on speed. Manny, on the other hand, is only a ground and pounder. The only reason he won his last two fights was because of his human blanket routine. That won't work on someone like Nate, who gets off on being on his feet or on the mat (witness his last two wins). I see Manny getting him down, then quickly regretting it. Nate will eventually put the clamps into Manny once he gasses while trying to break out of the triangles, the guillotines, the kimoras....
Talk about a nice setup for a future fight, though. First Nate beats Manny, then he beats his brother. Wouldn't that be poetic justice?
