I got an RSS feed of this site to my google reader account. When I first saw this site I thought at best it was a good source of news, at worst a personal blog with reasonable information.
ReplyDeleteWith this "sees own death" frivolous nonsense, I'm disappointed. It's really stupid and weak for a self respecting "information" (not news apparently) site to have this such thing as important.
I agree Drizzle.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna crane kick the Colonel Daniel LaRusso style for injecting a sense of humor into this site.
This site needs to be bland without personality to compete with the other bland non-personal sites that don't have any balls to share an opinion or a heartbeat.
When we go commercial, we'll be sure to keep the information as dry as Thanksgiving turkey or as honest as The Ultimate Fighter Series.
... or you're just a Franklin fan huh?
Nothing wrong with a little gravy, but what's wrong with just 'pure information'?
ReplyDeleteBe as condescending towards me as you want, but this piece shows bias. Bias takes one side. Which means your only giving us part truth. Which means I can't always trust what you say.
Read Reuters if you don't like bias.
ReplyDeleteAny site will demonstrate bias. Any newspaper will demonstrate bias as well as any magazine or television news channel.
We're a fan site more so than a news site. We also have links to credible sources of MMA information if we get too ahead of ourselves.
Mostly, we like to have fun and hope to attract MMA fans with a sense of humour.
MMA isn't life or death material.
I have plans to launch MMA Fever on its own domain with Web 2.0 abilities for "on-topic" discussion of relevant news events without too much bias if any at all.
This should happen in the new year.
Stay connected :)
Drizzle, if you're interested in writing for MMA fever, let me know and I'll hook you up.
You'll soon see how difficult it is to separate yourself from "fan" to "objective unbiased reporter".
You never know, you might get picked up by Yahoo.
Gotta have a voice, not just regurgitating facts that a million other sites are doing.
Short of UFC.com, the sites I link to have balls (a.k.a. - bias)
