From Nokaut dot com:
Following his departure from the UFC, it was announced on last night's broadcast of Strikeforce at the Playboy Mansion that Renato "Babalu" Sobral had signed with the organization. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but it is certain that Sobral's name power significantly bolsters Strikeforce's ranks.
"Babalu" was cut by the UFC following his fight with David Heath at UFC 74. At the conclusion of the fight, "Babalu" refused to let go of an anaconda choke submission until Heath went unconscious. UFC president Dana White released "Babalu" from his contract over the incident, and the Nevada State Athletic Commission fined him $25,000.
