This is the UFC 79 after party for the one and only "Iceman", Chuck Liddell. The way things are looking for Chuck heading into UFC 79 against Wanderlei Silva, I wouldn't be surprised if Chuck didn't show his mohawk anywhere near that place when the dust settles from this legendary battle.

I think Chuck had better focus more on not getting mauled by Silva than some lame ass after-party.
ReplyDeleteIn the event of a loss on his part, I am seriously wondering if he will pull a Couture and announce his retirement after the fight. After three beat downs in a row, I don't see him as much more than a gate keeper for the division. I highly doubt that he would settle for something like that.
In the end, The Pit camp is old and stale. Why he refuses to train with another camp is beyond me. Maybe Chuck and Cro-Cop could start up their own camp. They could teach guys how to get knocked out via head kick or one punch, mauled on the ground, and fight with their hands down around their waists with their chins hanging out.
Whatever. Wand looks to be in the best shape of his life for this fight. Somehow I see the odds strongly in his favour as well. We'll see on the 29th I guess!
That about sums it up right there Juji!
ReplyDeleteNow, if Chuck could only get Paulo Filho to whore himself to train an American then Chuck would have a chance getting himself out of his one-dimensional fighting style trap he's been in for many years.
Couture will feed Silva with a gameplan for sure and in a way, Couture will be fighting Liddell by proxy on the 29th for some redemption.
I am a card carrying Liddell fan but I can't overlook Chuck's lack of drive to stay on top these days.
This will be an end of an era but also opens the door for a new era with Pride fighters disguised as UFC fighters dominating the top of the heap in the UFC.
Wandy hasn't won yet...
