Now that was a sweet finish, What happened to Gomi, I was told he was going to destroy diaz. I guess this just gives more fuel to the fire about the PRIDE vs UFC battle.

Wow, someone who couldn't cut it anymore on the UFC goes in & beats the champ in PRIDE. And the guy who was supposed to be able to take Liddell loses his belt too. God damn, this is a great PPV for PRIDE to try & prove it's got better fighters than the UFC. This may be one of the first PRIDE PPVs that I've actually enjoyed almost as much as the UFC, I'll give them that. However, I think it did more damage to PRIDE's "superiority" claims than anything.
ReplyDeleteI always like Diaz & as far as PRIDE went I always liked Henderson, so I enjoyed both these fights quite a bit.
